RISK MANAGEMENT BROWN BAG SEMINAR

SDAR’s Risk Management will be hosting a Brown Bag Lunch Seminar on Wednesday, July 31, 2019, from 12-1pm at the SDAR Kearney Mesa service center. Light snacks and drinks will be provided, and feel free to bring you own lunch. Come attend our latest Risk Management seminar on representing divorcing clients in a real estate transaction. Certified Family Law Specialist and 2018 Super Lawyer, John Neal Griffith, Esq. discusses the unique expectations of a Realtor® hired to list and sell a marital residence or other real property subject to divorce or dissolution. Mr. Griffith will cover:

1. General need to know when communicating with the divorce attorney(s) and litigants involved in the divorce,

2. Common terms and conditions of a court ordered sale, and

3. Unique considerations related to distribution of funds from escrow.

John Griffith has practiced exclusively in the area of family law since 2009. John is a Certified Family Law Specialist certified as an expert in the area of family law by the California Board of Legal Specialization. Prior to opening Griffith, Young & Lass, he worked as the managing partner of one of the largest family law firms in North County San Diego. John’s local family law practice has expanded quickly as his reputation for competent and ethical practice grows. John graduated from Georgia State University in 2003 with a Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy and Religious Studies and attended law school in San Diego at Thomas Jefferson School of Law. John is a veteran of the United States Army and served an enlistment in South Korea.

John has extensive trial experience in all areas of family law practice and specializes in complex jurisdictional child support and child custody cases as well as high asset litigious divorce cases. He also provides divorce mediation services and is often successful in settling high conflict divorces before they make it to the courtroom.

Refund/Cancellation Policy
Reservations for programs requiring payment will not be processed until payment is received. If you must cancel your reservation, a maximum refund of 85% of the program cost will be issued if the cancellation is received in writing three days prior to the course date. A non-refundable 15% of the program cost will be assessed for processing fees. GSDAR reserves the right to cancel or reschedule any program. If cancellation occurs, GSDAR will issue a full refund. In the event of rescheduling, GSDAR will send immediate notification and transfer all reservations (including payments) to the new date.
