Brothers Who Can Cook 2023
A Culinary & Beverage Tasting Experience
Brothers Who Can Cook, an event series that celebrates Baltimore’s Black chefs, serves up a chance to travel to the Caribbean, the African continent, and all the savory spaces in between - all without having to pack your luggage. Just come with an open mind, some comfortable pants, and extra cash for the vendor marketplace and cash bar.
This year will be our 13th year of good eating - which is why this year's theme is "Celebrating Our Roots." Brothers Who Can Cook started with a community of Black men offering their best dishes, and with strong support from Baltimore's mental health professional community. In addition to hosting a daytime event that'll be good for the mind, body, and soul, our evening event will be honoring this city's mental health professional superstars.
In addition to the great food offered by our chefs, come and join us for:
- A daytime event featuring live music, workshops, and more
- A snazzy evening semi-formal featuring a special musical performance, an awards ceremony, and refined nighttime offerings from our chefs
- An all-day marketplace full of Black small business vendors
- African dancing and drumming
Purchase your tickets today, and make sure to keep an eye out for announcements and updates!

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
1. What is your COVID-19 protocol?
Masks are encouraged.
2. Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?
To participate in the drink taster experience, guests must be 21+ with a valid ID. You will receive a stamp for ability to access this component of the taster, including the whiskey tasting.
3. What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?
There will be parking for the day event, but much of the parking is on the street. There will be some free available parking in the hospital lot across the street - it is first come, first served. There is an adjacent ticketed lot one block left of the hospital on Howard St with ample parking.
The event is also accessible by light rail and rideshare.
4. Are there Brothers who will be offering vegan options?
ABSOLUTELY.
5. What can I bring into the event?
A willingness to try new things, meet great people, and eat amazingly-good food. Also, we're serious about the comfortable pants thing. Preferably with the stretchy waistband.
6. What's the refund policy?
There are no refunds; this is a rain-or-shine event!

For our day event: none, unless you want to try out-dressing Chef Clarkie's best-dressed chicken! We encourage you to wear something worth being photographed in, though.
For our evening event: semi-formal attire required. We look forward to seeing you shine!
9. What is the crowd like?
Expect a great audience of young professionals and mature adults.
