Event description
Join us for a screening of the award-winning film Brother Outsider.

About this Event

Please join EDS at Union for a screening of Brother Outsider, on Wednesday, October 2 at 6:30 pm. This award-winning film introduced millions of viewers around the world to Bayard Rustin — the visionary strategist and activist who has been called “the unknown hero” of the civil rights movement.

Following the screening, Dean Kelly Brown Douglas will interview Walter Naegle about the film and life and work of Baynard Rustin. Walter Naegle is the surviving partner of the late American Civil Rights leader Bayard Rustin, and the executive director of the Bayard Rustin Fund, which commemorates Rustin's life, values, and legacy.
