You are invited to attend an IHTM Symposium on Thursday, December 8 from 9am-noon. This fall’s edition is entitled Brooklyn Tourism: More than a bridge... This event is hosted by the Institute for Hospitality & Tourism Management at SJC Brooklyn.
We will gather in an effort to learn from each other and gain a better perspective of the borough’s future. Panelists include; Mark Levy, Levys’ Unique New York; Andrew Hoan, Acting President & CEO of the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce; and Rachel Felder, Author of Insider Brooklyn. Each individual will share their particular viewpoint on the borough as it relates to visitors; impact on economy, impact on neighborhood, etc. Those in attendance will have an opportunity to ask questions at the end.
After a break where we encourage guests to visit local restaurants, our Hospitalented club will host the Great Debate: Airbnb vs New York State from 1-2pm in the same venue. The students are partnering with Social Thinkers and the Law & Justice Society and a retired judge to host a healthy debate using a variation of BBC’s Intelligence Squared format. We welcome hospitality colleagues and friends to participate.
