Brooklyn Symphony Orchestra: Impressions in Color & Light
By Brooklyn Symphony Orchestra
Overview
The BSO presents a shimmering season finale of Debussy, Rachmaninoff, Respighi, and Ravel at the Brooklyn Museum
Our season closes in shimmering style. Debussy’s Prélude à l'après-midi d’un faune and Danse Sacrée et Danse Profane capture impressionistic beauty, featuring harpist Margery Fitts. Respighi’s orchestration of Rachmaninoff’s Études-Tableaux reveals lush new colors, before Ravel’s hypnotic Boléro ends the season in a blaze of rhythm and crescendo.
