You saw Brooklyn Historical Society’s prized Coney Island collections on May 13th, so join us this time at the Brooklyn Public Library to uncover some of the gems in the BPL archival collection of everyone’s favorite Brooklyn summer destination. From wax replicas of Nat King Cole's head and hands to vintage photographs of Coney Island's nighttime Mardi Gras parade, there is much to learn of the what, who, when, and how these seemingly obscure items were acquired.
