Event description

Description

This is a fast moving and comprehensive course in sculpting and bronze casting. You will not only learn the technical aspects of sculpting and casting, you will also learn about the tools and trades within the foundry including burner and furnace design. And of course this class would not be complete without an in-depth approach to chasing, welding and patina. Learn from start to finish how to create a bronze sculpture of your very own. The course meets every Friday evening from the start to end dates. There is a lab fee associated with this course which is $15 per pound of bronze associated with your finished sculpture. Maximum size sculpture for the class is 18" tall or 15 lbs of bronze. You won't find a better deal. This course will include mold making and transferring of materials associated with lost wax casting. Come and have some fun!

This course lasts for six weeks, and takes place every Friday.
