Join us for an unguided tour of some of the best spots in Bromo!

About this event

Experience the Bromo Arts District during a night of artistic performances, exhibits, and open studios on Thursday, June 23, from 5-9pm. View information below for the participating creative groups to plan your evening. Stay tuned for more information and an event map. This event is free, but we ask that you register in order to get event updates and access to special discounts.

While you are welcome to stay for full performance times at participating locations, please feel comfortable quietly leaving during performances in order to make it to your next location.

SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT: We will be hosting an after party for Bromo Art Walk attendees! This will be held in Current Space's courtyard located at 421 N. Howard Street. Join for music, drinks, and a good time. Please show your Eventbrite registration (digitally or printed) at the door. Please enter through Tyson Street (the alley), located between Mulberry and Franklin Streets.

COVID GUIDELINES: We are following Baltimore City mandates. Masks are encouraged, but not required inside . **Some venues require proof of vaccination** Please review descriptions below to learn more about specific requirements. Thank you for your cooperation.

Enjoy live jazz from Darius Scott and the Resolution Jazz Group in The Hippodrome Theatre's lobby.


Come visit the BMA Lexington Market as we prepare to transition from our branch location in the East Market into the new Lexington Market. Learn about the work and history of the BMA LM, an initiative that began as the BMA Outpost in 2014, as well as plans for the future.

THE BLACK GENIUS ART SHOW: 106 N. Eutaw St. /// 5-9pm

Get a behind the scenes scoop on a new animated project, MAYOR OF BALTIMORE, by the creator B. Robinson. View an exhibition of animated works from the project, obtain collectibles, and meet some of the creatives behind the production.

BLAKWATER HOUSE: 218 W. Saratoga St. 5th Floor /// 5-9pm

Watch as music is written, produced, and recorded live with local musicians and vocalists.

BROMO SELTZER ARTS TOWER : 21 S. Eutaw St. /// 5-9pm

Experience Emerge Baltimore, a visual art exhibition featuring rising Baltimore-based artists McKinley Wallace III, Will Watson, and Jill Orlov, on view through November 23. You can explore all 15 floors of the Bromo Tower, the clock room, and a collection of art and artifacts related to the Bromo Tower's history.

Hear experimental, new music performances by Mind on Fire in the outdoor courtyard and view Elena Johnston's dynamic, abstract paintings in the gallery. Current Space studio members will also have artwork available for sale in the courtyard. Refreshments will be available at our outdoor bar.

THE HIPPODROME THEATRE: 12 N. Eutaw St. /// 5-9pm

Take a behind the scenes tour of the historic Hippodrome Theatre. Tours will start every 15 minutes and run approximately 30 minutes. Darius Scott and the Resolution Jazz Trio will be playing in our South 2 Lobby at the end of each tour.

KEUR KHALEYI AFRICAN DANCE COMPANY: 847 N. Howard St. 2nd Floor /// Performance times TBD

The multi-generational dance and drum company will showcase the rich dance traditions of Guinea, Senegal, and Mali in West Africa in two 30-minute long performances.

Le Mondo is an artist-run performance venue for adventurous artists and the people that love them. We host diverse arts programming, studios, and event space. Grab a drink, meet some of the resident artists, and check out their work in progress. Music, dance, and performance art pieces will occur hourly beginning at 6PM.

MARYLAND ART PLACE: 218 W. Saratoga St. /// 5-9pm

View J.M. Giordano's "We Used to Live at Night" (2021, Culture Crush Editions), which covers over 25 years of Baltimore After Dark. Underground sex scenes, drag scenes, club scenes, crime scenes, and more are all featured in MAP's upcoming show based on the book. Giordano's first solo show at MAP will feature black and white film and digital photos from all across our city starting in 1994 until COVID ended the old way of living at night for good.


Drop into MCHC's newest photography exhibition, Visions of Night: Baltimore Nocturnes. Meet and mingle with the contemporary artists from the exhibition J. M. Giordano, Sydney J. Allen, Webster Phillips III, John Clarke Mayden. And perhaps encounter the spirits of the historical photographers lurking around the corner!

Take part in a drop in collage-a-card printmaking workshop. Visitors will be given all the materials needed to make a unique edition of 10 riso-printed cards.

Come for a self-guided tour of Westminster's Burying Ground. Explore one of Baltimore's oldest cemeteries which contains tombs of prominent business, political and military leaders, and of-course the grave of Edgar Allan Poe!
