Please join us on August 16th for a timely program on the relationship between Bromeliads and Mosquitoes. Some mosquitoes, known as Florida Container Mosquitoes, may use the water-filled vase-like leaves of some bromeliads to breed. Proper management of bromeliads can help suppress mosquitoes with least-toxic, common-sense methods. A local bromeliad specialist will cover the basics of growing bromeliads followed by a session with Charlotte County Mosquito Control on local mosquitoes and how to best deal with them in bromeliads and other small bodies of water found in your landscape.
The program is free, but you must sign up through Eventbrite© as the class is limited to the first 45 participants. Please sign up by August 15th. For more information, please call our office at 941-764-4344.
