Event description

Description

The Partnership Brokers Association, together with CCVO and JS Daw & Associates, is pleased to bring Brokering Effective Partnerships, an intensive one-day training course to Calgary.

Building on the work of the UK-based Partnership Brokers Association, a professional body dedicated to strengthening the partnership process, this course is designed for a diverse group of partnership practitioners, from business, nonprofit, community, government, and philanthropy.

This one-day course provides an overview of partnering principles, frameworks and practices. A balanced approach of presentation, discussion and practical application will be used to help participants:

  • Explore the role of partnering and have a clearer understanding of when to partner and when not to partner;
  • Learn the ‘guiding principles’ behind building meaningful and sustainable partnerships;
  • Gain knowledge of the ‘Partnering Cycle’, a framework for the development and management of partnerships;
  • Enhance partnering skills which have the potential to greatly increase the efficiency and effectiveness of participant partnerships
