About this Event

CLASS DESCRIPTION

Each class begins with a heart pumping warm up to a variety of Broadway tunes. The warm up allows students to grow in their ability to execute basic dance technique in a Broadway style. Each class, students learn a new Broadway number choreographed to suite all levels. CJay’s experience teaching novice as well as Broadway stars helps to create a fun welcoming energy with lots of creative play.

CJay has directed and choreographed hundreds of musicals and performance events around the world including: The Who’s Tommy, Once on This Island, Ragtime, Marvin’s Trial, Little Shop of Horrors, the Philadelphia Presidential Summit, an Emmy Award–winning NBC broadcast of the McDonalds Gospel Fest, the Baltimore African American Festival, WOW (Women of the World) Festival at the Meyerhoff Symphony Hall, Essences Magazine Upfront NYC, and her own adaptation of the opera Carmen which premiered at Baltimore School for the Arts - Voices of Carmen (Links to Music & Synopsis)
