Bristol Law Conference 2019 - "Privacy and Data: Law and Practice"
Date and time
Annual student-run conference in partnership with the University of Bristol Law School.
About this event
The theme of Bristol Law Conference 2019 is "Privacy and Data: Law and Practice". The Bristol Law Conference is a student-run event that was established in 2013, in partnership with the University of Bristol Law School. Each year, the Conference invites a multitude of speakers from a variety of backgrounds - ranging from academics to experienced lawyers, as well as various experts in the relevant fields - to speak about the issue.
Doors open at 10.30 am and the conference will begin at 11am. The morning attendance ticket will allow you entry until 2pm and the afternoon will allow you entrance from 1pm until the end of the conference. We would advise getting both slots as the conference ends with a panel discussion.
The full list of confirmed speakers is to be confirmed. As of now, we are honoured to have these accomplished speakers present on the day:
- Andrew Charlesworth (Professor of Law Innovation and Society at the University of Bristol Law School)
- Lord Tyre (Judge of the Supreme Courts of Scotland)
- Steve Wright (CEO at Privacy Culture Limited)
- Ian Beeby (Barrister at 10 King's Bench Walk)
- Vernon Kitay (Head of GRC & Virtual CISO at Blackfoot Cybersecurity)
We would also like to thank our sponsors who have made this event possible:
Burges Salmon, Womble Bond Dickinson, Osborne Clarke and Hogan Lovells
We look forward to seeing you there!
