This exciting course offers opportunity to develop your understanding of the different technologies and practices within livestock husbandry.

You will gain an insight into the impact and the efficiencies that the technologies provide to the industry and the improved welfare as a result of these practices.

Module 1:

Improving livestock rearing through advanced digital technology.

Module 2:

Robotics in Agriculture: Introduction in to drones and remotely operated machinery with classroom-based activities into how the technology will interact with one and another and basic coding. Preparing the industry for future technology on animal health monitoring and autonomous tractors.

Module 3:

Data interpretation and analysis.

The course runs for two sessions, one on Friday 9th December 12.30pm - 5.30pm the the second on Friday 16th at the same time. A total of 10hrs.

Delivery - 75% Face-to-face/ 25% Online

There will be some sessions where you will be walking around our Brinsbury College farm to look at examples of some of the technologies - appropriate footwear and clothing will be required.

The course runs for five sessions, one on Wednesday 1st March and Wednesday 29th March . A total of 30hrs.
