Description
Bringing Sanctuary to the Classroom is a convening by Oakland educators, for Oakland educators who are prepared to stand up with our families and empower our students to be allies for each other.
This event will include:
- Keynote Speaker: Artist Favianna Rodriguez
- Restorative Justice circles for teachers to process reactions to current political realities
- Youth, Community and Teacher-Led workshops on engaging youth with topics such as immigration, resistance, and building alliances.
- Lunch
- Music
- Raffle prizes
