“Bringing Henrietta to Life: Creating Dialogue on Disparities Across Disciplines” is a ground breaking interdisciplinary event designed to create a dialogue on health disparities and artistic expressions. The event will feature the film, Bringing Henrietta to Life, produced by CSU students majoring in theater, dance, technical theater, and film/digital and will explore the potential of the arts in the newly burgeoning field of medical humanities. Lunch will be provided, followed by a range of activities and breakout sessions, including the science of HeLa cells, biomedical ethics, medicine and law, health education, disparities in medical practices, ethical issues in nursing, the importance of institutional research and the developing role of arts in medical humanities.
Scheduled for Saturday, November 15, 2014 in the Main Classroom and Main Classroom Auditorium.
