Amber Seely (Penn CUREx '09), Deputy Director of Economic Development of the Regional Planning Commission, will moderate a conversation about 'Bringing Healthy Food Options to New Orleans' Food Deserts,' featuring:
- Jonathan Leit (Penn CUREx '10), Director of the New Orleans Office of Alembic Community Development, which is redeveloping the Myrtle Banks School on O.C. Haley into a fresh food market highlighted by Jack & Jake's, a regional food provider
- Jeffrey Schwartz (M.I.T. '08), Executive Director of Broad Community Connections, which is developing the ReFresh Project and bringing a Whole Foods to Broad St.
- Robert Steeg (Penn '73), Managing Partner of Steeg Law Firm, who has more than 30 years of experience in a commercial real estate.
