"…let’s remember that when it comes to healing, our symptoms and negative behaviours don’t want to be fixed, they want to be heard. They want to have space. They want to be honored and explored in their complexity, and in their divinity. From this space of radical acceptance, unconditional love, and genuine curiosity, magic happens…" Marc David, The Institute for the Psychology of Eating
Each day – each time we feed ourselves – each time we look for pleasure or soothing – each time we find our self-critical voice taking over is an opportunity to practice a new way. A more compassionate way.
It takes courage to let go of what isn't working. It takes courage to reconnect with yourself, your innate wisdom, your body wisdom, and the part of you that is longing for unconditional love, acceptance, kindness and compassion. When you do that, you can start to let go of negative coping patterns, self-defeating behaviours and self-critical, shame based thinking.
This workshop is for anyone interested in learning about the latest compassionate mind research and practices around struggles with food and body image.
