Bringing Baby Home (Two Day Workshop) for 2017
Sat, June 24, 2017, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM EDT
Thank you for your interest in our Bringing Baby Home two-day workshop (Saturday and Sunday)
June 24th and 25th
Most classes focus on the needs of the baby, this class focuses on the needs of the couple! Register today, space is limited!
Bringing Baby Home is a workshop for expectant couples, and parents of infants and toddlers, that allows couples to equip themselves with the knowledge and skills needed to cope constructively with the changes brought about by the birth of a child while getting to know one another in their new role as parents. Although we cannot eliminate the normal stressors that accompany the addition of a baby, such as sleepless nights, never-ending household chores, increased financial obligations, and shifts in roles, couples that attend Bringing Baby Home are able to avoid some common mistakes and challenges others face unprepared.
Through Bringing Baby Home, couples will learn:
Ways to strengthen your friendship & increase intimacy
- About early childhood development from infancy through 36-months
- About sensitive and responsive parenting & how to read baby’s cues
- Effective ways to co-parent and keep both parents involved
- How to recognize and cope with the effects of sleep deprivation
- About postpartum depression, anxiety and other mood disorders and gain resources for help and support.
Research shows that couples that participate in Bringing Baby Home experience significantly lower rates of postpartum depression, have a higher level of relationship satisfaction, and a decreased likelihood of divorce. The quality of the parental relationship has a lasting and profound impact on baby’s social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development—give your baby the best possible nourishment, a loving and healthy relationship between each other!
Join Maritza in this dynamic and fast-paced workshop where her use of compassion, humor, and deep understanding of the transition to parenthood provides expectant and new parents with parenting and relationship skills that will last a lifetime!
