Description

“Bring Mindfulness To Work” Workshop

This group workshop meets the 2nd Monday of every month.  7:00pm - 9:00pm.

In the workplace we are often challenged by many emotional triggers and false assumptions that can prevent us from being effective, masterful, and creative.

Mindfulness is a very useful skill to bring into every situation in our day-to-day lives. It’s not something we just leave on the cushion.

In this ongoing monthly workshop, we will explore and investigate the “five emotional intelligences” that mindfulness practice builds on that can strongly support us in our work lives. By inhabiting new skills built on mindfulness we can bring out our fuller potential which gives us more fulfillment and happiness at work.

We’ll begin by practicing self-awareness, then exploring emotional stability and mastery. We will continue with empathy, social/communication skills, overcoming challenges with colleagues and higher-ups. These leadership skills can apply wherever we are in the organization.

In the workshop we will engage with specific real-time issues in workplace situations. In the group process we’ll put in effort to resolve and see new choices that can be made in present difficult situations as well as emerging issues before they get out of hand.

Together we will look to identify both the strengths and challenges we bring to work as part of self-awareness. Participants will be able to keep a journal to track daily experiences and improvements in order to keep up momentum between meetings and to see their own progress.

Attendees will find new tools and see new opportunities to tweak our developing mindfulness and emotional intelligence skills through the most challenging aspects of real life- work situations.

The workshop is offered on a dana/donation basis.  We are supported by the practice of shared generosity.  No one turned away die to lack offends.  Our programs are for everyone to gain new insights into life, themselves and inner healing.
