HEADLINER: CHRIS MONTY

With over 20 years of stand-up comedy and television under his belt, Chris Monty continues to delight audiences worldwide. His latest high profile projects include his stand-up comedy special titled “What’s the Worst That Could Happen” (Amazon Prime), Vinyl (HBO), Red Oaks (Amazon Prime), Paul Bart: Mall Cop 2 (Sony Pictures), Kevin Can Wait ( CBS), and Orange is the New Black (Netflix)

In his stand-up, Chris Monty channels a refreshing and unique style of the 1960’s cool funnyman mixed with a modern chic. His unique take on current topics and storytelling are reminiscent of the comics that would keep The Rat Pack in stitches for weeks. He spans generations in that older crowds love his his cool, retro style and younger crowds see a cadence that they haven’t seen on stage. It is truly something unique to experience.

Chris’s experience as a stand-up lends itself to his wide ranging acting work also. He uses his quick improvisational skills and ability to use physical slapstick and timing to enhance his lead and supporting actor’s roles. Whether on screen or stage, Chris Monty has the chops to make your creative endeavor something to be remembered for months and years to come.

“Crazy” Gene Trifilo was born February 3rd 1976 in Beacon NY. He was delivered by a doctor that was missing fingers on his right hand. Gene has spent a lifetime entertaining crowds all over the United States, Canada and even Europe. Gene was nominated class clown by his senior class in 1994 and shortly after he began his amazing career that has led him perform all over including New York City, New Jersey, Las Vegas, the Hudson Valley, Denver, Detroit, Tampa, Miami, London and Paris to name just a few. Gene can perform in front of any audience including clubs, bars, dinner shows, corporate events, fundraisers, even churches and private functions.

Gene has been seen in some of the best clubs including the Broadway Comedy Club, Manhattan Comedy Club, Rascals, The Brew Ha-Ha, and The Improv. He has also performed numerous dinner shows including the world famous Totonno’s Italian Bistro in Yonkers New York.

Television appearances include NBC’s Last Comic Standing, Laugh out Loud, and Comedy for a Cause.

You may have also heard Crazy Gene on WPDH 101.5 FM with Coop and Tobin and on Good Morning Hudson Valley 1260 AM with Bruce Owen and Jay Verzi.

Where do I park?

Bright Box is located at 15 N. Loudoun St. on the beautiful pedestrian mall in Old Town Winchester. The nearest parking is the Braddock Auto Park at 30 N Braddock St. This is about a block away from the venue. The parking garage does have several handicap parking spaces available.

Once you've parked in the garage you'll exit toward the pedestrian mall. Once you hit N. Loudoun you'll make a right and Bright Box will be on your right a few storefronts up, directly across from the Old Court House Civil War Museum

Is Bright Box handicap accessible?

Absolutely. The venue is handicap accessible and ADA compliant. The infrastructure in Old Town Winchester is friendly toward those with physical challenges or in wheelchairs. Park in one of the close-by parking garages and come to the main door at 15 N. Loudoun St. (the walking mall). We ask that you arrive when doors open, and we will be happy to escort you to a place best suited to your needs in the theater or to take you to the elevator to access the upstairs Out of the Box room.
