Event description

Description

Amplify Africa in partnership with the Nigerian Students Association (UCLA), E.K.O Event Group & Amprovison presents Bridging the Gap: A Conversation about Black History.

For many years the discussion among African Americans and Africans have been “Are we the same?,” “Where do we really come from?,” “Why do you think you’re better than us?” Although there are many differences, there are just as many similarities from childhood upbringing, work ethic, education, racism, social class, behavioral societal standards and more.

On February 23rd, 2019, Join us as we dive deeper into this conversation with a panel discussion featuring:

Angelica Nwandu (Founder The Shade Room)

Funmi Fagbamila (Professor, activist, playwright, Artist and founding member of the Black Lives Matter Movement)

Wayne Barrow (President, Bystorm Ent. (Miguel and J. Cole) and former manger The Notorios B.I.G)
