Bridging The Gap Between Tech & Hip Hop w/ Devo Springsteen
Event Information
Description
What do you do after winning a few Grammys and founding a successful record label called GOOD Music? You take your talent to South Beach or maybe not.
This month we sit down with Devon Harris AKA Devo Springsteen who is the CEO of OCHRE. Ochre is an interactive video platform that companies and publishers can use to deliver interactive videos so users can get a better video experience.
Before taking his talents to the tech scene Devo helped create GOOD Music with his cousin Kanye West in 2003. Remember “Diamonds are Forever,” Devo won a grammy for that along with winning a grammy for Best Rap Album via Late Registration. Still not impressed? He also won a grammy for the best R&B album “Get Lifted” by his old college roommate John Legend. Since then he has went on to produce with some of the biggest names out there like Britney Spears and Aretha Franklin.
Devo has continued to write and produce for many major label artists and has also done music for big time companies such as MTV, BET, and Dr. Pepper. Devo even had a track he produced with John legend used as our president’s campaign song like a boss! Devo also worked at venture Capitalist firm which helped him learn about the investment side of things.
Devo has successfully bridged the gap between Hip Hop, Entrepreneurship and Technology and is ready to educate us on the come up.
