Friends Who Are Going
Event description

Hi! We're Dopper. We want to live in a world where people are aware of the environment, where together we actively reduce single-use plastic waste, and where everyone, near and far, has access to fresh and safe drinking water.

We have spent the last months building a Plastic Bridge. A giant mobile art piece made out of 25,000 disposable water bottles. It will be touring the country to raise awareness about the plastic in our oceans and to "bridge the gap" to a cleaner, more sustainable world.

The bridge launch will be Friday September 22nd, at the Starrett-Lehigh Building. We'll have it parked downstairs for the press and public to see.

Plastic Bridge launch has been postponed to the spring. We've been building our bridge with a company based in Houston, Texas, and due to recent storms, our bridge is now halfway underwater. The event will continue as planned, only without our bridge.

The Marketplace of the Future

We see a time when all products in the market have people and the planet in mind. Disposable plastic will be a thing of the past, companies will have "give-back" programs built into their business models, materials will be consciously sourced, and end-of-life will be designed in mind. We're piloting this concept at our Marketplace of the Future, showcasing products and services that are better for people and the planet.

We'll have free drinks, jazz, horsdervs, open skies, rooftop garden, and sustainable vendors.
