About Bridge

Bridge is a social enterprise that provides workforce development training and consulting services to students and professionals in Ivory Coast. Our mission is to empower people to achieve greatness at any career stage. Bridge is a partner of FranklinCovey, a global company specializing in performance improvement. We help organizations achieve results that require a change in human behavior.

Our social responsibility is to tackle youth unemployment in Sub-Saharan Africa by bridging the skills and opportunity gap through education, technology and partnerships, and one of our youth initiatives is the 20|30 Bridge Career-Prep Fellowship.

About the Fellowship

The 20|30 Bridge Career-Prep Fellowship is a four-week program that provides a specialized professional development mentorship and leadership training to young graduates and professionals now in their 20s and 30s, who aspire to start a career journey to become leaders in business, government and civil society by year 2030. Sessions will be conducted in a small seminar group format. Instructors will utilize an interactive discussion format. Bridge Fellows will be encouraged to engage in participatory discussions led by the instructor. Fellows will have the opportunity to participate in “Teach-In” sessions where they will lead the class in discussions related to readings and oral presentations to demonstrate their understanding of leadership principles of effectiveness and improve their public speaking skills.

“Teach-Ins” are the opportunity for each Fellow to prepare short presentations on topics from readings. “Teach-Ins” are also an opportunity for the Fellows to share and compare their own professional, educational, community, and cultural experiences. Each Fellow will lead multiple “Teach-Ins” during the Fellowship.

Program Outcomes

By the completion of the program, Bridge Fellows will become acquainted with the qualities, skills and methods leaders need to carry out their missions. This will ultimately enhance their practical leadership skillsets. Additionally, Fellows will utilize best practices in strategic planning, executive decision-making and mentoring to address social issues in their communities. Bridge Fellows will also utilize these skills to improve their business ideas and career aspirations. There is a possibility for Fellows to participate in corporate internships, volunteer assignments or practicums, depending on the needs of partner organizations.

Our training contents will include the following:

  • The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People
  • Project Management Essentials
  • The Five Choices to Extraordinary Productivity
  • Design Thinking
  • Panel Discussions
  • Group Projects
  • and much more...
