Event description
The experiences of Women of Color are unique and they Matter.

About this Event

Isolation, invisibility and a lack of support is a common theme for women of color. Often, this stunts our growth in the workplace. Having internal and external relationships are essential to professional advancement.

Hi, my name is Julene Allen, Founder of Women of Color in the Workplace ™️, Lean In Women of Color and the podcast series, Conversations for Equal Pay in which I reached out to women who are at the top of their industries to offer advice to others. The podcast features Andrea Zopp, CEO of World Business Chicago, State's Attorney Kim Foxx, Amy Hilliard, former President of Fashion Fair Cosmetics and many more. My mission is to make sure women of color are fueled with the right resources so more women can advance.

Join me for a Women of Color in the Workplace ™️ event, an interactive discussion on "Bridgebuilding for Women of Color."

In this briefing, we'll touch on the following:

—The types of personal and professional relationships you should have

—The difference between mentors, sponsors, allies, personal board of directors, and peer support groups.

—A better understanding of how to develop and strengthen these relationships while maintaining a busy lifestyle

You'll walk away with a peer-support group, catered to your needs and goals, tools you can use in your workplace and communities, and how to be a more equipped team member or leader.

*Light refreshments are being served.
