Event description
3 local businesses are using beer to make a better world.

About this Event

Can beer be a force for good in the world? Hear from 3 breweries using their businesses to have a beneficial impact on their workers, community, and the environment.

Beer, food, and good people will all be present. Tickets sales benefit Daily Acts, a Sonoma County non-profit dedicated to enriching lives by inspiring positive action.

Collin McDonnell | HenHouse Brewing Company

HenHouse Brewing Company makes delicious beers of excellent quality and makes them in ways that anyone would be proud to support by drinking them. Their purpose is not only to make beers, but to make living wage jobs, to make careers for their employees, and to make a difference in the community. From top to bottom, HenHouse makes, sells, delivers, and serves beer with this intention and purpose in mind.

Collin McDonnell quit his job in communications in 2009 to turn his beer brewing hobby into a career. In 2011 he co-founded HenHouse Brewing Co and currently serves as the CEO.

Joe Seta | North Coast Brewing Co.

A pioneer in the craft beer movement, North Coast Brewing Company opened in 1988 as a local brewpub in the historic town of Fort Bragg, California. Since then, the brewery has developed a strong reputation for quality having won more 100 awards. Social equity and environmental responsibility have always been at the core of their values as they seek to make the world a better place one pint at a time.

Joe Seta represent North Coast Brewing to all their visiting special guests, as well as conducts guided tasting and manages the brewery's music venue.

North Coast Brewing has been a Certified B Corporation since 2015.

Tom McGinty | Seismic Brewing Company

Seismic Brewing has a portfolio of high-quality beers brewed and brought to market in an environmentally sustainable manner. Their mission is to be a positive, creative force within the brewing community and our local community: giving more than they take and addressing the challenges of today to prepare the way for those who follow.

Tom McGinty joined Founder Christopher Jackson and Brewmaster Andy Hooper in 2016 to help launch Seismic Brewing, as the Vice President of Sales & Marketing. Although the role requires a fair amount of travel, Tom also serves as President of the Healdsburg Youth Soccer Association and volunteers as a youth sports coach year-round.

This event is co-hosted by B Local Bay Area, Conscious Capitalism Bay Area, and North Bay FIG. Each of these non-profit organizations has a unique approach to advocating for purpose-driven businesses. Thank you to our site host Beneficial State Bank, a B Corp on a mission to build prosperity in communities through beneficial banking services.
