FAQs

What is Breathwork?

Traditional Breathwork has a long, rich history founded in India through the practice of Pranayama where breath is used to increase positive energy levels and remove toxins from the body. The type of Breathwork that I teach is a modernized approach to Pranayama, where conscious connected breathing is used as a tool to connect you to your higher self, getting you out of your head and deeply centered with your heart.

How is it done?

It’s done lying down on your back in a comfortable position, while music is playing to help motivate, relax, and release anything that’s stuck. It’s done in-and-out through the mouth, breathing through the mouth into the diaphragm, then into the chest, and then exhaling everything out through the mouth. This is repeated without pausing at the top or the bottom like a continuous link. Breathwork sessions lasts anywhere between 60-75 minutes, similar to a fitness class, making this practice incredibly convenient and easy to add to your schedule.

What you may experience?

  • Release of toxins from the cells of the body

  • Stress release and deep relaxation

  • Relief from physical pain

  • Expanded states of consciousness

  • Deep inner peace

  • Extreme Joy

  • Increased connection to life source

  • Ability to manifest greater abundance

What it’s not?

Breathwork is not hyperventilating - if you’ve seen it done before, but have not experienced Breathwork firsthand, you may get this impression. In actuality, during Breathwork sessions the intention is to take in as much oxygen as possible, which is the opposite of hyperventilating, where you exhale more air than you take in.
