Event description

Description

A great Joy resides in each one of us! Come learn the skills to reduce stress and open to a more fulfilling life. "I have never felt so calm." "I feel my love expanding." "I was stuck, and now I know what to do." These are a few of the comments from people who have learned to consciously breathe the optimal breath. Now you can, too! Come experience Dynamic Stillness, a powerful, evidence-based movement and breath practice that integrates current research on the body's nervous system with the three centers of awareness: physical, emotional, and cognitive. Learn how to live with deeper compassion, curiosity, and energy through these gentle, healing, energizing practices.

  • Reduce stress, pain, and inflammation
  • Increase resilience and energy
  • Cultivate awareness
  • Deepen relationships
  • Experience life with more choice
  • Embrace wholeness
  • Live with Presence

The BCC Regional Service Center is right across the street from the Bethesda Metro: https://www.montgomerycountymd.gov/bcc/directions.html

Kathy teaching breath with movement

Kathy Jankowski helps people and communities flourish through attention training, breathwork, cultivating soft skills, and applying the Enneagram. She integrates evidence-based practices for stress management, trauma resolution, and resilience into innovative workshops, transformational coaching, and sustainable organizational development. Kathy is an Elixir Light-trained Qigong teacher in the Shaolin tradition and a Level 3-certified breath coach. She has shared the positive effects of awareness practices and conscious breathing with thousands of people of all ages in numerous settings: leadership teams, workforce development programs, association and nonprofit staff; within hospitals, schools, and low-income housing communities; and with teachers, veterans, children and families, teens, nurses, health and wellness providers, and cancer survivors.
