Sound, Breath, and Cacao

Join Joseph Anderson for a Breath, Sound & Cacao Journey at Blue Knob on Saturday, December 14th from 3:00–5:00 PM. Early bird tickets are just $35, with general admission at $45, so reserving your spot early locks in the best rate for this intimate, heart-centered experience.

What this journey includes

The afternoon opens with a warm cup of rich ceremonial cacao, blended with dates and seeds for a creamy, nourishing drink as you learn about cacao’s history, heart-opening qualities, and role in ritual. From there, you’ll be guided through a gentle parasympathetic breath session to downshift the nervous system, followed by a deeply immersive sound journey and closing integration with tea and space to land softly before you drive home.

About Joseph as your guide

Joseph Anderson is a Wim Hof Method instructor, breathwork facilitator, and sound practitioner based in central Pennsylvania, known for blending science, somatics, and ceremony in a grounded, approachable way. He has guided thousands of people through breathwork, sound baths, and nervous system–focused experiences, always emphasizing safety, trauma awareness, and integration rather than high-intensity “quick fixes.” Through his Breathe Free Prosperity offerings, he weaves polyvagal-informed breathwork, sound healing, and heart-centered spaces for genuine connection and community.

Benefits of cacao, breath, and sound

• Cacao: Ceremonial cacao is rich in theobromine, magnesium, and antioxidants, which can gently elevate mood, support circulation, and create a felt sense of warmth, openness, and emotional connection. Many people experience cacao ceremonies as supportive for self-reflection, gratitude, and feeling more connected to themselves and others.

• Parasympathetic breath: Slow, diaphragmatic breathing with extended exhales stimulates the vagus nerve, increases heart rate variability, and shifts the body into “rest-and-digest,” which is linked to reduced anxiety, better emotional regulation, and improved digestion and recovery. Even a single session of deep, slow breathing has been shown to decrease physiological stress markers and support the body’s natural self-healing state.

• Sound journey: Therapeutic sound and sound baths help activate the parasympathetic nervous system, reduce stress hormones, and bring the brain into slower, more restful states that support deep relaxation and better sleep. Many participants report feeling lighter, clearer, and more balanced as sound vibrations help calm racing thoughts and support nervous system regulation.
