Breastfeeding Class for Doulas & Perinatal Professionals

This class is geared toward doulas but open to all birth & postpartum professionals, and fulfills the breastfeeding prerequisite for certification through DONA.
Topics include: benefits of breastfeeding, anatomy and physiology, cue-based feeding, common challenges, the doula's role in supporting breastfeeding, scope of practice, and much more.
Class is intercative with lots of role playing and activites; please come prepared to engage and move!
Taught by Jen Chandlee, PCD(DONA; CD(DONA); ICCE(ICEA); CLE(CAPPA) who was inspired into this work after having her first baby in 1994. She currently offers postpartum doula services; breastfeeding, postpartum, & childbirth classes; in-home breastfeeding support; and mentoring/business coaching for new doulas. She is the Director of Postpartum Education and Services at Homegrown Babies.
If you are a birth professional and sign up for one of our workshops, then you have the potential of being called to a birth at the very time that the class meets. If you are called to a birth and cannot attend you will be refunded or have the option of transferring to another class; refunds may take between 1 to 2 weeks to process.
In the event of absence otherwise (sickness, weather, etc.), your registration fee is NON-REFUNDABLE, but may be transferred to another class date within the year.
