Event description

Description

During the month of May, San Antonio Counseling and Behavioral Center aims to bring awareness through an event that brings leaders and the community together in breaking the stigma of mental illness. Many individuals go without seeking help because they do not want to be judged or stigmatized for dealing with a mental health problem.

Individuals experiencing mental health conditions often face rejection, bullying and discrimination. This can make it difficult to reach out and ask for help. Our goal is to break the stigma associated with seeking mental health services and provide the community with support and additional resources.

SACBC would like to invite the community to come and join us for an evening of fun, inspiration and hope. The lantern release will signify a visual representation of the individuals living with a mental health illness and those who have lost the fight.

This event is for families & individuals to come together to “Break the Stigma of Mental Health!”

Come join us! Check us out on Facebook to reserve your lantern at facebook.com/sacounselingcenter!

This event is made possible through the support of San Antonio Behavioral Hospital.
