  • Effectively motivate, encourage and support your clients to achieve a healthy weight? 
  • Provide your overweight clients with the latest, evidence-based & practical information? 
  • Increase your confidence, knowledge and skills to raise the sensitive issue of weight?

If YES, then this FREE training program is for you!  

This training program is for health professionals who would like to engage in the weight loss conversation with clients, and who wish to provide information and support to clients as part of routine care. The course focuses on evidence based guidelines and resources for improved patient outcomes related to weight and introduces the evidence based 5 A's framework and motivational interviewing

A range of resources will be provided to aid the conversation with clients around achieving a healthy weight. 

Profile Picture Stavroula Zandes, Course trainerCourse trainerStavroula Zandes has a background in psychology and worked with Quit Victoria, the Cancer Council of Victoria, for 20 years in tobacco control. During this time, she established extensive experience and links with health and community professionals, and provided smoking cessation training in a wide range of settings, including acute care, general practice, community health, pregnancy, and Aboriginal health to name some examples.

Stav has a strong understanding of behaviour change principles and provides evidence-based training and education on a range of lifestyle topics to help individuals improve their health and wellbeing. 

Choose from a variety of aftrenoon or evening sessions:

Wednesday 14 September AFTERNOON 2-4pm OR

Wednesday 21 September EVENING 6-8pm OR

Wednesday 5 October MORNING 9:30-11:30am OR

Wednesday 5 October AFTERNOON 2-4pm OR

Tuesday 13 December EVENING 6-8pm.

Places are limited to 18 in each course so be sure to register early.
