Event description

Description

This workshop is for Women Only. Limited Seating.

Domestic violence is a pattern of abusive behavior that occurs between family members or intimate partners. It is not only the number one public health issue facing women and children in our communities, but also a frightening social problem of epic proportions and an important human rights issue. Domestic Violence should never happen to anyone. Not ever. Not even once. Period. But it does.

Domestic violence is not only physical but can be emotional, verbal or even financial. Do you wonder if you are in a domestic violent relationship? Do you have a friend or family member you are worried about that is in a harmful relationship but you don't know how to help her? If you are a victim of domestic violence or afraid you may become a victim there is help. In recognition of National Domestic Violence Awareness Month, this workshop will address the problem and offer support. Join us where you can connect with others in a safe place.

This workshop is FREE, however, you must RSVP via this link https://breakingthecycleofdomesticviolence.eventbrite.com so that we know how many materials to bring and how much food to order as a light meal will be served. Space is limited! Food is also imited to those who RSVP in advance.

If you sign up and then can't make it, PLEASE notify us of your cancellation by texting 704-561-1128. Please do not stand us up, we are offering a free service and want to allow others to take advantage if you can't. Also, we are a nonprofit and are paying for the materials and the food and do not want to waste it. Thank you for your consideration.

We serve young women in our community who want a better life, who need or lack support and/or who want to build a positive support network around them. We encourage women who are temporarily displaced, homeless or aging out of Foster Care to join us. To learn more about Healing Vine Harbor, you can go to our website www.healingvineharbor.com and you can "Like" our Facebook page. Look forward to seeing and meeting all of you:-).

If you are taking public transportation, Bus #8 and #34 are very close to the location. For those of you who are driving, there is a gravel parking lot with a Black Gate, two houses away from the location. This is reserved for our event. You can park there. Please don't park in front of the location or in front of the other houses on that street. It is located in a residential community. We are only allowed to park in the parking lot assigned to the location. Thank you.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me, Tracey Questell at 704-561-1128. Text preferred.
