About this event

Title: Breaking News: New WSNYC Episode on Democracy

Description: Shola’s Voice is a new episode in the We Speak NYC ESOL/civics drama series, addressing democracy, immigration, bullying and other issues in the context of today’s challenging times. In the video, the housekeeper of a community TV station finds her voice advocating on these matters with transformational effect. In this workshop, we model visual-thinking strategies, inquiry-based learning, and drama-based pedagogies that you can use with Shola’s Voice to build civic knowledge and advocacy skills.
