Event Details

DirectWomen is committed to increasing the number of women on corporate boards. That is why we are inviting you to this exclusive event on March 21 at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation headquarters.

Over the course of the evening, you will have the opportunity to  hear from a panel of distinguished directors who currently sit on the boards of major corporations. They will share their insights about board service and provide tips on how you can best position yourself to serve on a corporate board. You will also have the opportunity to network with senior level women from firms and companies from Seattle and across the country.

THE PANELISTS INCLUDE:

  • Phyllis J. Campbell, Chair, Pacific Northwest, JPMorgan Chase & Co.; Director, Alaska Air Group, Inc. and Nordstrom, Inc.
  • Richard P. Fox, Former Managing Partner, Ernst & Young LLP; Director, Acxiom Corporation, HonorHealth, Pinnacle West Capital Corporation, Premera Blue Cross, ServiceMaster Global Holdings, Inc., and Univar Inc.
  • Liane Pelletier, Retired Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of Alaska Communications Systems; Director, ATN International and Expeditors International of Washington

DirectWomen works to increase the number of qualified women attorneys on the boards of public companies. DirectWomen identifies, develops and supports leading women lawyers from around the country who have the experience, independence, business judgment and diversity required for service on corporate boards. A centerpiece of DirectWomen’s work is its renowned annual Board Institute, held each year for a select group of distinguished women attorneys. Since the formation of DirectWomen in 2006, 22% of our alumnae have been invited to join corporate boards. Visit our website at www.directwomen.org for more information.
