Are you a Black or Brown male over 18 years of age who has experienced overt racism, subtle discrimination or feelings of being unsafe or undervalued at work, school or environmental settings that lack diversity?

Are you interested in learning new skills to apply to daily life, such as stress reduction techniques, healthy coping mechanisms, and strategies for building supportive relationships and networks?

Are you interested in developing a stronger sense of well-being and community?

If your answers are yes, join Dr. Henry Gregory by registering for the Breaking Free Men’s Healing Circle. Each FREE session will include movement exercises, meditation, and facilitated conversations.

The sessions will be held at the Anne Arundel Conflict Resolution Center at 2666 Riva Road, Annapolis, Md 21401, suite 130.

Lead Facilitator: Sufi Ausar D. Winkler

Sufi Ausar D. Winkler provides guided application of mindfulness such as meditation in movement in the form of Tai Chi, Qigong and Xing Yi. These ancient healing technologies are evidenced-based in reducing toxic stress and increasing emotional intelligence. He is a member and Elder of the Afrikan Village and Cultural Center of Baltimore, is a co-founder, with his son, minister Ausar Winkler, 2nd, of the Brothers of Maat 12-month Men's Rite of Passage program.

Lead Clinician: Dr. W. Henry Gregory

W. Henry Gregory, Ph.D., is a mental health professional with over thirty-five years of experience. He holds a doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology and master’s degrees in both Community Mental Health and Psychology. He has the expertise and extensive experience as a clinician, supervisor, director, trainer, consultant and researcher in several service areas including HIV/AIDS, child welfare, substance abuse, juvenile justice, criminal justice, school-based mental health, and behavioral health. Currently, Dr. Gregory is an assistant professor at the University of Maryland School of Nursing. As a constructivist, Dr. Gregory passionately believes that we create our destiny by how we think about ourselves and our circumstances.
