Breaking Barriers Summit

MAO, Alabama AETC, Southeast Alabama AHEC, and Southeast AETC invite you to join us for our first Breaking Barriers Summit, a daylong gathering for health providers and professionals.
In celebration of Black History Month, National Black HIV/AIDS Awareness Day (February 7th), and Heart Health Month, attendees at the Summit will explore racial health disparities, chronic health topics, the HIV epidemic in Alabama, collaboration with faith communities, and cultural humility in healthcare. Participants may register for 1 of 2 tracks.*
Clinical Track: For Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, Nurses, Pharmacists, Physician Assistants, and other members of the clinical team (CME available for Physicians, CNE available for Nursing professionals)
Social, Behavioral, and Community Health Track: For social service or behavioral health providers and community health advocates (CEU available for Social Workers, NBCC CE available for Counselors)
*Attendees will attend three cross-track sessions, with additional breakout sessions specific to each track. CME/CNE are only available for those attending all Clinical Track breakout sessions. ABSWE CEU/NBCC CE are only available for those attending all Social, Behavioral, and Community Health Track.
