"Staying in Spite/Staying Because": Dorothy Fortenberry talks about why she has chosen to remain in the Catholic Church.

A free continental breakfast will be available for all who attend.

Dorothy Fortenberry is a playwright and screenwriter. She is currently in her third season as a writer and producer on Hulu’s award-winning adaptation of The Handmaid’s Tale. Her play Species Native to California recently received its world premiere at Iama Theatre in LA. Other plays include Partners, Mommune, and Good Egg. Her essays have been featured in publications including Real Simple, PacificStandard, and the Los Angeles Review of Books.
