Description

For the first Breakfast Talk Series of 2019, January 22 from 8:30 am to 10 am, we are happy to invite you to discover multidisciplanary artist, Juan Ernesto Requena's works, and studio.

Juan Ernesto Requena was born in Caracas, Venezuela. Post high school, he left Venezuela to live and study in Europe. He has studied French language and culture in Lausanne, Switzerland, studied Fine Arts at Lorenzo De’Medici school in Florence, Italy and then went to Paris, where he obtained his Diplôme National Supérieur d'Arts Plastiques from École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts de Paris, France.
Juan has lived, worked and exhibited his research projects in Paris, Berlin, Mexico City, and Shanghai. These researches are based on memory and archives.

In 2012, Juan moved to Mumbai, India where he studied at the Sir Jamsetjee Jeejeebhoy School of Art and received his Master of Arts in Fine Arts. In Mumbai, he began his research on textile, rangoli and ephemeral objects.

Juan considers himself an archivist. He currently lives in and works in Mumbai & Miami Beach.
