Description

A MUST ATTEND EVENT

Don't miss our next Breakfast Meeting hosted by Canada Post on March 7th, 2019 in Mississauga. You will get the inside scoop from 2 industry experts:
• Learn about Canada Post’s CX strategy and how you can create a seamless CX
• Learn with Bill Gosling and embrace learner-centered experiences to develop knowledge, skills and engagement.

Presentation #1
Canada Post CX Journey

Presentation #2
Disrupting the Training Model to Build Skills and Learning

Almost every aspect of our business has dramatically changed in the last 5,10 and 20 years yet many of our training experiences are similar to what we delivered 40 (or more) years ago. This session will encourage organizations to embrace learner-centered experiences (in and outside of a classroom) to develop knowledge, skills and engagement.

Some of the areas we will cover include:

  • The need for change

  • Removing “student”, “class”, “lesson” and “teacher” from our dialogue and looking at a new paradigm of training that embraces a model of continuous development, goals and improvements similar to athletics.

  • How this is a benefit (and not a threat) to training – and trainers and how this impacts more than them

  • Practical examples of how this can be implemented with and without technology

It will be an intriguing morning event where you learn and network over breakfast followed by relevant and compelling presentations, discussions and more. Limited seating - a not to be missed event!
(Note: 2 per organization - preference will be given to members.)

SPEAKERS

Christopher Watchorn
General Manager, Finance Order to Cash, Canada Post

Chris is General Manager, Finance Order to Cash at Canada Post. He is responsible for making sure Canada post meets and exceeds their customer expectations by consistently meeting service level objectives while delivering exceptional world class customer service.

Joel MacCharles
VP Learning and Innovation, Bill Gosling Outsourcing

Joel has been a member of the flock for over 13 years and led out global training initiatives twice. He is a natural innovator, enthusiastic champion of people and a lifelong facilitator who believes that much of corporate training is broken. Most business have gone through continuous disruption in the last 25 years yet much of Corporate Training around the world looks, feels and sounds like the training departments existed 40 years ago. Although an advocate of disrupting the typical training paradigm, Joel is not an antagonist of traditional training teams. Rather he believes the transition to disrupting training is one which must involve all stakeholders within a business as we transform from models resembling academic learning and transition to training models that resemble athletic training –continuous improvement supported by multiple coaches and teachers at all levels of the organization.
