Utilization of Imaging and Fields in Glaucoma

Session I: Understanding the Printouts of Imaging Devices and Visual Fields in Glaucoma
This course will focus on the understanding of commonly used imaging devices and visual fields employed in the management of glaucoma. Instruments used to measure structure and function such as OCT, HRT and GDX and the Humphrey Field Analyzer will be discussed, with an emphasis on obtaining a detailed understanding of the printout data. The advantages and limitations of each instrument will also be discussed.
Session II: Clinical Decision Making in Glaucoma through the Use of Fields and Imaging: a Case-Based Approach
This course will illustrate the application of fields and imaging to the diagnosis and treatment of glaucoma. Using a variety of glaucoma cases, the course will cover test selection, interpretation of results, issues relating to contradictory results, structure-function correlation, measurement of progression and clinical decision making strategies.
