Event description
We’ll be sitting down with some of Nashville’s top creatives to discuss how each of us play a role in the design process.

About this Event

Hosted by Galerie Tangerine and Daigh Rick Landscape Architects

In the design world, we believe that collaboration and teamwork are the key to success. Join us as we kick off the second annual Nashville Design Week with our Breakfast at Tangerine's event. Daigh Rick Landscape Architects is teaming up with interior designers Jason Arnold and April Tomlin, as well as Jamie Pfeffer of Pfeffer Torode Architecture to demonstrate how we start out with a broad idea, and work closely together until the last piece of art is hung in the house. Come allow your creative juices to flow over morning libations + a catered brunch, while being surrounded by the artwork of William McLure in his solo exhibition that’s currently on display in our art gallery branch (+ shared studio space), Galerie Tangerine.

Speakers:

Anne Daigh of Daigh Rick Landscape Architects Bio: Anne Daigh is an accomplished landscape architect, artist, and entrepreneur whose passion for her profession naturally grew into the successful business she leads today. She launched Daigh Rick Landscape Architects in fall 2010 after nine years with Page Duke Landscape Architects.

Wade Rick of Daigh Rick Landscape Architects Bio: With more than a decade in the field, he’s honed his knowledge and the range of skills our business requires. Today, this Nashville native uses his experience to help shape the landscapes and outdoor spaces of the city that he and his family call home.

April Tomlin Interiors: Ten years ago April Tomlin made the decision to pursue her passion in interior design full time. Since then, she has attracted a roster of A-list clientele from the music and sports industries with her texturized and distinctive style. Using organic and raw materials juxtaposed with a clean and simple palette, April is redefining Southern design.

Jason Arnold: Interior Designer, Jason Arnold, is known for his impeccable ability to create balance —the balance between old and new, sophisticated and comfortable. His spaces are thoughtfully layered, transcending boundaries with modern elements while adding items with history and character to each corner.

Jamie Pfeffer: Nashville Native and Partner of Pfeffer Torode Architecture, Jamie Pfeffer, is fundamentally driven by the act of creation. Regardless of the project scope, scale, or style, it is about translating an idea, through a filtering of thoughts and a harnessing the resources required, into the built environment that drives his passion.

William McLure: William Rankin McLure IV was born an artist, and has always been creative thru his God- given talent of art and design. Born in Louisiana, he and his family soon moved back to Alabama to be close to a large and loving family, and to live on a family farm. William’s kindergarten teacher recognized his talent and wrote his mother a note when William was 4 years old for her to recognize, support, encourage and nurture William in his creativity, and said that one day he would be a famous artist. His talents have grown from there, and have led him to become the self- employed artist and interior designer that he is today. His artwork can evolve from realism, to drawings, to sketches, to abstract at any given moment, and many times being created in literal hours during long evenings at home. Both his design and artwork were highlighted in the 2013 Cathedral Antique’s Show House in Atlanta, and have also been featured on many design and art blogs including Lonny Magazine, La Dolce Vita, Southern Living, Mark D. Sikes, and Atlanta Homes and Lifestyles Magazine.

Jessi Rae Waltz: GARNISH was created to cultivate community and provide elevated dining & food experiences.
