Description

10,000 people turn 65 every day this will continue until roughly 2029. We have an aging population that is at high risk for abuse, neglect, and exploitation. NASW Approval 6.5 CEU credits 4 ethics credits.

In 2016 7,205 cases of Elder Abuse was investigated in the State of Utah.

Keynote Speaker: Paul Greenwood-San Diego County District Attorney

Guest Speaker: Sally Markwood-Chief Executive Officer of National Association of Area Agencies on Aging.

Guest Speaker: Kit Gruelle: Survivor of domestic violence and has worked as an advocate for abused women and thier children for 31 years.

This year’s conference is designed to bring together local resources to build networks and better serve our Elder population in the all areas of our state. This conference is designed to promote education, discussion and solutions for the issues being faced by our Elders and Caregivers in Utah today.

This conference is developed for Advocates, Direct Service Providers, Law Enforcement, Legal/Financial Professionals, Health and Social Work Professionals.
