Event description

Description

You are about to embark on an amazing journey.

Break The Cycle 200: Nashville uses an epic one-day 200-mile bike ride to help fight human trafficking in the U.S. and SE Asia. Through riding 200 miles we use our greatest strengths to raise awareness and funds for trafficking victims that have no voice.

Human trafficking is the trade of human beings for the purposes of commercial sexual exploitation, forced labor, or child soldiering. This modern form of slavery is a world wide issue and at its highest recorded levels in human history.

Some Heartbreaking Facts

- An estimated 45.8 million adults & children worldwide are victims of human trafficking (gobalslaveryindex.org). That's about 7 times the total population of the state of Tennesse or 5 times the population of New York City.

- Approximately 75-80% of human trafficking is for sex.

- 80% of those sold into sexual slavery are under 24, some are as young as six years old.

- An estimated 30,000 victims of sex trafficking die each year from abuse, disease, torture & neglect (UNODOC).

Every role is vital from volunteering, cycling to our many supporters as we raise awareness and funds to help break the cycle of human trafficking.

"I was a father to the needy;
I took up the case of the stranger.
I broke the fangs of the wicked
and snatched the victims from their teeth" (Job 29:16-17)

Let's make our miles matter!
