BRBC Quarterly Forum and AGM (June 2022)

The BRBC Quarterly Educational and Networking Forum (and AGM), followed by a Member Appreciation Reception
About this event
The first in-person Quarterly Forum will be held on Wednesday June 1! The forum will consist of a full day of speakers and the BRBC AGM, beginning at 9am. Afterwards, we will hold a Member Appreciation Reception from 4pm - 6pm to celebrate the BRBC membership. Please opt-in for the Member Appreciation Reception.
If you cannot make it for the forum, but want to join the reception afterward, registration for the reception portion only is available here.
The Forum will run from 9am - 4pm, and will include the following presentations:
- Amy McLeod, Cows and Fish: Working together to recover native trout in Alberta; a case study on the Alberta Native Trout Collaborative working in the Bow River watershed
- Hillary Keyes, AJM Environmental Inc.: Native Trout Habitat Restoration Assessment in the Ghost Public Land Use Zone
- Elliot Fox, Assistant Project Manager, Blackfoot Confederacy Native Trout Recovery Project: 2020-22 Blackfoot Confederacy Native Trout Recovery Project
- John Swann and Diane Edwards, ABI Environmental, Flora Giesbrecht, Elbow River Watershed Partnership, Marina Krainer: CABIN sampling of benthic invertebrates in Alberta with specific reference to the Bow River Basin
- Mike Nemeth, Nutrien: Water stewardship at Nutrien and the agri-food value chain
- Liz Barker, MacPhail School of Energy SAIT and Pablo Pina, SAIT: Urban farming in Alberta: a case for Real Estate and sustainability

The Rotary House is located at Calgary Stampede Park. Parking is available in Lot 3. The BRBC encourages low-carbon transportation. The Rotary House is steps away from the Victoria Park/Stampede C-Train Station. There are also numerous bus stops and bike racks available.
Please ensure that you only register for this event once, and cancel your registration if you can no longer attend. There are limited spaces available.
Please note that this is an in-person event. The BRBC will follow all provincial health restrictions in the Province of Alberta at the time of the event. As of May 2022, we recommend all attendees and presenters be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, and masks will be optional.
