The festival theme will be announced before the festival on Facebook. Follow the page and RSVP to the event to receive updates in a timely fashion.
Party themes - New Year’s Eve will be a white party, and all parties will be casual. Swimsuits are fine!
Should I attend the New Year's Eve Party?
Absolutely! Brazilian New Year's Eve on the beach is a bucket list dream. It will be spectacular.
Will there be events after the festival?
Yes there will be after party/parties in Porto Seguro. Look forward to dancing in the market places of Porto and Arraial d’Ajuda, plus other special parties arranged by the Masters. We will announce these closer to the date but we want to let you know so you can plan your flights.
Is Berg doing a Congress in 2021/2022?
No.
What is Porto Seguro like?
This the birthplace of Lambada and a famous beach town. Brazilians from all over the country travel here to vacation every summer. The center of town was built by the Portuguese, in fact Porto is the first place they landed many centuries ago. It’s gorgeous, lush, laid back, vibrant and full of beautiful friendly people who love to dance. Fresh coconuts to drink, açaí, fantastic tropical fruits and delicious Bahian cooking.
You may wish to take day trips to the nearby towns of Arraial D'Ajuda or Trancoso for shopping, eating, or culture.
(Be warned: Porto energia is infectious! If you come to Porto Seguro you may decide to stay!)
What should I bring?
An empty suitcase! There is fantastic shopping in cheap markets - it’s very hot! Shorts, swimwear (skimpy for both genders!) hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, and dance shoes (not your best). Bring a white outfit for New Years Eve.
How can I stay informed of the artists, schedule, and updates?
