Brazilian Jazz Night Tom Jobim Bossa Nova Tribute w/Manny Moreira+Julie E.
Friday, October 4, 2013 from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM (EDT)
New York, NY
Vocalist Julie Eigenberg -- also known as Julie E. -- and guitar hero Manny Moreira team up to pay tribute to Brazilian jazz legend Tom Jobim, king of the bossa nova and Grammy-winning composer of favorites like "The Girl From Ipanema."
As a guitarist, the Brazilian-American Moriera was part of the musical ensemble for the Grammy and Tony-winning musical In the Heights among many other Broadway and Off-Broadway shows, but he's also a talented composer, arranger and singer, who trained in orchestral conducting at Juilliard.
Eigenberg is an accomplished jazz singer and composer, who's equally entrancing whether performing American or Latin-flavored classics. Along with busting out the bossa nova, the duo are also set to perform some of their swinging original tunes as well.
