Braving A New World with Mosaic America
Date and time
Braving A New World with Mosaic America at New Museum Los Gatos (NUMU)
About this event
Join us as LOCAL dancers, musicians, and poets of Silicon Valley take us on an evocative journey through an American Mosaic.
“We may have all come on different ships, but we're in the same boat now.” These words by Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. haven’t rung truer then now. How can we come together to create a Brave New World where each of us is seen and included? How can we reimagine our society, how would our city look 500 years from now?
Performances by Anouk Yeh, Selina Chen, Antara Asthaayi Dance, Ensamble Folclórico Colibrí, Tabia African-American Theatre Ensemble, and Los Gatos Ballet. Mosaic America invites the community to envision and work towards creating a mosaic of American cultures, weaving a thread of authentic representation through History, Identities, and Cultures.
Mosaic America is proud to be partnering with New Museum Los Gatos in celebration of their eleventh year of ArtNow, the annual juried high school exhibition.
