Join us for a special evening of iconic American desserts with Serious Eats pastry wizard and James Beard Award–nominee Stella Parks, author of the bestselling new cookbook BraveTart.

Parks has devoted her career to the research and re-creation of classic American desserts — think yellow layer cake, icebox chiffon pie and banana pudding — as well as beloved packaged brands such as Oreos, Hostess cupcakes and Snickers bars. With a historian’s rigor and a scientist's curiosity, she documents the intriguing stories of how these desserts came to be and the best methods for making them from scratch at home — including making your own rainbow sprinkles!

Stella will prepare a delicious trio of desserts featuring one cupcake, one cookie and one candy at this standing-room-only pop-up social, and will be introduced by her friend and colleague J. Kenji López-Alt, award-winning author of The Food Lab.

Ticket price includes desserts plus one copy of Stella's book. Prosecco, coffee and other beverages will be available for separate purchase. Capacity is limited. We strongly recommend purchasing tickets early for this event.
