Description

The World Needs Your Story

“If you don't give the market your story to talk about,
they will define your brand story for you.”

During this session, you’ll begin to tap into the power of creating your organisation’s brand story. Everything from uncovering your organisation’s unique essence to connecting with customers on a far deeper level and – if you’ll let it – change the world!

“Tell me the facts and I’ll learn. Tell me the truth and I’ll believe. But tell me a story and it will live in heart forever.”

What do we cover?

During this taster session, you’ll begin to create your brand as a story – through two exercises, one written and one practical – and get acquainted with its main characters. Not only will you begin to see your brand and its customers in a whole new light. You’ll also have a much clearer idea of why you do what you do, who you do it for and why?

Who should attend?

  1. Business owners – who are struggling to find an authentic tone of voice for their brand or in need of a brand refresh that outshines the competition
  2. In-House teams (marketing, communications etc) – looking to strengthen their tone of voice and become a more personable brand
  3. Third sector organisations – doing great work that's too important to keep quiet about.

Presenter Profile

When Rachel Savage left her cosy job to become a freelance copywriter two things started to happen. First, she found herself struggling to find a suitable tone of voice for her clients – one that embraced all their passion and expertise into the written word. Second, a desire to create a business with a purpose planted itself firmly in her heart and wouldn’t go away.

After a bit of soul-searching she discovered an amazing version of brand storytelling that enabled her to do both.

Testimonials

Getting your message across to your audience in a way that connects and resonates can often be a challenge for business owners. Dull, badly worded elevator pitches often do more harm than good. This, too, was a struggle for me. I saw Rachel give a short presentation about how using stories can connect people to your brand. Her story instantly resonated with me and I booked onto her story telling course. The course took me on a journey to get clarity on the core of my business. Rachel gently guided and helped develop my brand story strategy in a way that talks directly to my audience. It's a bit like putting on a pair of prescription glasses after years of poor eyesight. - Jackie H., Connector at You Are Oxygen

Rachel is an excellent writer. She has an intuitive grasp of big, complex subjects and finds creative ways to open them up. Her interviewing skills are also very strong, and she has a keen sense of emerging trends in sustainability and the environment. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her. - Mark Funnell, Deputy Director of Communications at Defra group
